And right next door, Al Ali Stable, where my husband could finally get his horse riding in, just a short 3-minute walk from the property. For twelve people, it was the right choice for us.

The Morning We Arrived

Getting twelve people ready, including five children, is never calm. But the moment we pulled in and my parents stepped out and looked around, everything settled.

My mum smiled without saying a word. My dad found a chair outside and sat there for two hours, just breathing. That alone made the whole trip worth it for me.

The kids found the pool in about 10 seconds. My brother’s daughter, who is usually shy in new places, was laughing before we had even finished bringing in the bags. Our boys were already asking about sleeping outside by the bonfire. And my husband had his riding shoes on before I made coffee.

What Two Days Felt Like At Private Villa

There is something that happens when you take away all the usual noise. Nobody was in a hurry. Nobody was performing.

We cooked together. We ate outside as the sun went down. My brother and I stayed up talking the way we used to when we were young. My husband came back from his morning rides both days with this smile I had not seen in months.

The five kids became their own little team. By the second day, they had their own games and their own jokes and their own world.
