During the time of Ramadan, we miss all our families and the memories of gathering times. Some are struggling with the job, and some are tired of the responsibility. But it’s never too late to gather with the people we love.

I’m Shafi Aullah, a Dubai resident and father of one energetic 4-year-old daughter, Noor. As the eldest son, I coordinated our big family gatherings. Including my mother, my wife, our daughter, my brother’s family, my sister’s family, and our parents. Residing in the bustling suburbs of Dubai, we hold Ramadan dear to our hearts, yet we find it challenging to cope with our small apartments during this sacred month.

The idea hit me in mid January while scrolling on social media, and I suddenly found an Instagram post related to a Ramadan gathering. Our usual iftar at home felt like nothing special. Parents are tired of traffic, there is no space for kids to play, and public spots lack privacy. Searching “Ramadan holiday home Dubai” led me to Yousco Holiday Homes’ Greenland Farm.

Greenland Farm: Perfect Place For Ramadan Gathering

I believe the best Ramadan is gathering together with family. Making suhoor, praying taraweeh, and talking about the family stories under a shelter. No noise, just peace and memories. We also took our cats as Greenland Farm is pet-friendly. And other things like raw foods, small fun games, which do not affect our fasting.

The farm welcomed us with fariy light and Ramadan decorations. Checked in starts from 2 pm, and they prepared prayer mats, and everything was ready. There are 5 bedrooms, it’s very suitable for our big family.

My favourite things at Greenland Farm are the private pool and the green garden with birds. We felt like home instantly. Living spaces with TV, good Wifi connection, and a full kitchen. Pet-friendly rules let our cat roam the garden safely. Clean, secure with 24/7 parking, and the best short-term villa rental in Dubai during Ramadan.

Noor and the cousins were playing in the garden. They also seem to like the playground, nature, and animals. They were tired from fun, and they slept soundly, waking refreshed for prayers. It’s Pure bliss for our family holiday home in Ramadan.

Fatima and sister are preparing salads and meals for iftar. We break fasting when the Maghrib azan starts, with water, dates, and an Iftar meal. Then group salah/namaz in the garden. My brother led Isha and Taraweeh.

After Prayers: Bonding and Stories

We started gathering around the fire together. My mother gave us karak and started talking about our childhood memories. No screen, no stress, just peace and togetherness. It fueled our Ramadan spirit.

This holiday farm exceeded my expectations, honestly. This holiday farm is the best place for Ramadan gathering in Dubai.
